I slid, quite gently, into this business. It’s a hell of a business but I enjoy it every single day. The variations in what a working day entails are infinite, the gratification is immediate. The ephemeral materials and swift tempo agrees with me. There are scents, textures and forms that blow my mind, continuously. Not to mention the almost overwhelming variety of colors.
My background is almost equally as varied - at least it seems that way at times. I’ve grown up in Stockholm, LA and Lake Tahoe. Spent a few (very important) years in NYC. I’ve been a ballerina. Studied to be a projectionist. Studied literature, scenography, organic farming and garden design. I’ve worked as a waiter, a gardener, a writer, with the elderly, at a candy shop, as a CEO at an architecture firm, among other things. I landed, head first, among the flowers. And this is where I’m staying. Wouldn’t you?
